Terms of Service

1. Who we are
SimplyRoam VPN is a trading name of SIMPLYSIM SOLUTIONS LTD, a private company limited by shares registered in England & Wales (company number 16302568). “We” / “us” in these terms means SIMPLYSIM SOLUTIONS LTD. “You” means the person who creates an account or pays for a subscription. Our registered office address is on our public Companies House filing at the link above.
2. The service
We provide an encrypted internet connection using a modern VPN protocol. We give you a mobile app (and, on desktop, a configuration file) that routes your internet traffic through one of our partner data centres in the country you choose.
3. Subscriptions, billing and renewal
We offer monthly and annual auto-renewing subscriptions, billed via Stripe. The price you see at checkout is the price that will be charged on each renewal, we don’t use teaser pricing that rebounds on year two. We will email you a receipt for every successful payment.
4. Cooling off (right to cancel a digital service)
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have a 14-day right to cancel a digital service. If you start using the service inside that 14-day window we will ask you to expressly consent to the provision starting (regulation 37(1)(a)), and by doing so you acknowledge you lose the right to cancel from that point on.
5. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time from your account portal. Your access will continue until the end of the period you have already paid for, then expire. We do not refund the remainder of a paid billing period after cancellation. If you have not used the service in the 14 days following purchase you can request a goodwill refund through our contact form. For App Store / Play Store subscriptions, refunds are handled by Apple / Google directly under their own policies, not by us.
6. Acceptable use
Your use of the service is also governed by our Acceptable Use Policy. Breach of the AUP is grounds for immediate suspension or termination without refund.
7. Privacy and logging
We collect only the data we need to bill you and run the service. See our Privacy Notice for the full list. We do not log your source IP, your DNS queries, the addresses you visit, or the content of your traffic.
8. Service availability
We aim for high availability but we don’t guarantee an SLA for v1. We may bring servers offline for maintenance with reasonable notice. If a sustained outage prevents you using the service we may, on request, credit your account.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes (price, scope of service, governing law) will be emailed to you at least 30 days before they take effect. Other changes (typo fixes, clarifications) take effect when published.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability we cannot limit or exclude under English law (e.g. liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation). Subject to that, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you have paid us during that period.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be brought before the courts of England and Wales. If you are a UK consumer you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
